Ernestine ‘Dolly’ Williams entered this life June
9, 1934 to James and Jennie (Ellis) Johnson in Gene Autry, Oklahoma.
She entered into rest April 2, 2008 in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of
73 years.
Ernestine grew up in
Berwyn, now Gene Autry, Oklahoma and graduated from Lincoln High School. After
graduation she moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma where she and her first
husband, Virgil Jones, Sr. made their home and raised their four
children. She worked for the Quintin Little Family as housekeeper for
thirty-six years. She later married Joe Williams and they had been
married twelve and one half years at the time of her death.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, James and Jennie Johnson; one daughter, Jo Ann
Williams; two brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her
husband, Joe Williams of Hennepin, Oklahoma; one son, Virgil L. Jones,
Jr. of Oklahoma City; three step-sons, Regginald E. Williams of
Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ashley R. Williams of Tatums, Oklahoma, and
Marshel S. Williams of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Berneice Graham
of Bellevue, Nebraska and Dorothy Varner of Ardmore, Oklahoma; one
step-daughter, Ella Louise Williams of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers,
Lonnie Johnson of Oklahoma City and Early B. Johnson of Davis, Oklahoma;
one sister, Beatrice Byers of Gainesville, Texas; twenty-five
grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren. |
