Ruth W. Snider entered
this life October 19, 1926 to James Edward and Ella (Harmon) Phillips in
Davis, Oklahoma. She entered into rest July 14, 2008 in Ardmore,
Oklahoma at the age of 83 years.
She and Johnny B. Snider
married April 7, 1952 in Fairfield, Texas. They moved to Arlington,
Texas in 1954 and lived there until moving back to Davis, Oklahoma in
1995. She worked for the Saladmaster Corporation as bookkeeper for many
years. Ruth was a great cook and loved to sew.
She was preceded in
death by her husband Johnny; parents, James Edward and Ella (Harmon)
Phillips; daughter, Phyllis Ruth Snider Wile; four brothers, Ed
Phillips, Evert Phillips, Troy Van Phillips, and Roy Phillips; and five
sisters, Vera McCaskill, Anna Shields, Mary Albia Hill, Marie Burnside
and Iva Lee Ramsey. She is survived by several nieces and nephews;
special niece, Donna Tucker; three grandchildren, Scott Wile, Michelle
Rosner, and Molly Miller; and three great grandchildren. |
