David Thurman "Pete" Floyd

April 18, 1916 ~ April 24, 2008

David Thurman “Pete” Floyd entered this life April 18, 1916 to Charlie Marvin and Lilly (Martin) Floyd in Ada, Oklahoma.  He entered into rest April 24, 2008 at his home in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years and six days. 

Pete enjoyed working in his wood shop, fishing, and gardening.  He will be remembered for his wit and humor. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lilly Floyd; two sons, David Spencer Floyd and Marvin Don Floyd; one sister, Laverne Ramer; one brother, Loye Floyd; and one grandchild.  He is survived by, his wife, Evelyn; two daughters: Nancy May of Veneta, Oregan and Lizz Littler of Pensacola, Florida; one son: Samuel Eugene Floyd of Dallas, Texas; one step-son, Mark McGehee of Ada, Oklahoma; one brother, Charlie Floyd, Jr. of Latta, Oklahoma; three sisters, Velma Graham of Oklahoma City, Pauline Stevens of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Juanita Lofland of Mustang, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren; and forty great grandchildren.

Interment:  Hawthorne Memorial Garden, Grants Pass, Oregon
