Jerry Don Gayler Lawson
entered this life September 5, 1953 to Fred and Mae (Newcomb) Lawson in
Sulphur, Oklahoma. He entered into rest May 28, 2008 in Sulphur,
Oklahoma at the age of 54 years.
Jerry lost his father,
Fred, at an early age; his mother later married Eugene Gayler, the
father who raised him. He attended school in Davis, Oklahoma. He and
Joyce Jones were married June 19, 1972 and made their home in Dougherty,
Oklahoma. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, boating and
traveling; but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death
by his father, Fred Lawson and step-father, Reubin Gayler. He is
survived by his wife, Joyce Lawson of Dougherty, Oklahoma; mother, Mae
Gayler of Marietta, Oklahoma; one son, Robin Lawson and wife, Brandy, of
Sulphur, Oklahoma; one daughter, Amy Dawn Cox and husband, David of Lone
Grove, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren, Afton, Dylan, Derek, Courtney,
Brendan, and Justin.
