Boyd Wayne Ellingson entered this
life January 12, 1933 to Willis and Blenda (Ljungren) Ellingson in
Eddinbury, North Dakota. He entered into rest April 16, 2008 in
Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years.
Boyd lived most of his life in Ft. Worth,
Texas where he worked in utility construction. He moved to Sulphur,
Oklahoma in the 1980’s. Every year, he enjoyed driving his John Deere
Tractor in the Veteran’s parades until his health failed. He built
custom doghouses where his dog, Shilo, was able to enjoy central air in
the summer months and he was especially handy building cars. He enjoyed
walks at the lake with his dog and family.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Blenda Ellinson. He is
survived by two sons, Timothy Ellingson and wife, Elizabeth, of Copperas
Cove, Texas and Stephen ‘Joe’ Simic and wife, Stacey, of Ft. Worth,
Texas; one daughter, Joy Gerke and husband, Tom of La Crosse,
Wisconsin; two brothers, Ron Ellingson of Thief River Falls, Minnesota
and Clyde Ellingson of Park River, North Dakota; seven grandchildren;
and two great grandchildren. |
