Jimmy Earl Coe was born
in Houston, Texas, March 27, 1942 and entered into rest May 19, 2008. He
is survived by two sons; Cameron of Santa Clara, California and Trey of
Ada, Oklahoma and daughter Kimberly Dobbs of Dallas, Texas,
Grandchildren Riley and Tyler, also of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Charles and Maxine (Perry) Coe and his wife,
Jennifer (Towne) Coe all of Sunnyvale, California. Jim graduated from
Conroe High School and The University of Texas with a degree in
Electrical Engineering. His working career took him to the Boeing
Company in Seattle, Texas Instruments in Austin and Dallas and Mostek in
Carrollton, Texas. In the early 1970’s, Jim joined Intel Corporation,
Santa Clara, California as Senior Corporate Marketing Manager and then
went to Fujitsu as Vice-president of Custom Semiconductor Operations. He
was Vice-president of Sales for Silver-Lisco and Logic Automation, Inc.
of Beaverton, Oregon. Jim traveled extensively to Europe and Asia in his
career and spoke Japanese. Jim was an avid HAM radio operator and
amateur astronomer since childhood. He retired to Murray County in 1994
to build a home, pursue his hobbies, build a network of friends and
educate his children. He succeeded at all.
