Garland Fred Brown entered this life November 25, 1922 to Fred
and Lola Ethel Brown in Roff, Oklahoma. He entered into rest
June 13, 2008 at his home in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.
Garland grew up and attended school in Prairie View, Oklahoma. In
January 1943, he entered the United States Army and served his country
during World War II. He and Goldie Ruth Brown were married April 1,
1950 and made there home in Sulphur, Oklahoma where he owned and
operated a dairy business. He enjoyed bird hunting and his pride and
joy was his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
Fred and Lola Brown; two brothers, Ed Brown and Elmer Brown; and one
sister, Glenda Griffith. He is survived by his wife, Goldie Ruth Brown
of Sulphur, Oklahoma; two sons, Dale Brown and Jeff Turner of Dallas,
Texas and Scott Brown and wife, Susan, of Sulphur, Oklahoma; one sister,
Gladys Standifer of Heber Springs, Arkansas; and for grandchildren,
Jackie Brown, Mandy (Brown) Martin, Nicole Brown, and Zachary Brown. |
